Providing compassionate care to Utah for over 150 years

ECS is on a mission to transform lives in our community's most underserved populations

We are a nonprofit charitable organization that reaches people where they live and where their needs are greatest. Our compassionate approach broadly touches people of all ages and without discrimination.

Our Impact

  • Professional Spiritual Care

The ECS Team of Board Certified Chaplains provide a nonjudgmental and culturally sensitive presence for all people, any faith or no faith. They are an integral part of hospital interdisciplinary teams, caring for the emotional and spiritual health of patients and their loved ones.

  • Accredited Chaplain Education

ACPE: The Standard for Spiritual Care & Education is the only agency recognized by the United States Department of Education to accredit clinical pastoral education (CPE) programs. The ECS Spiritual Care & CPE Education Center at St. Mark’s Hospital is the only ACPE Center in Utah.

  • Youth Programs and Engagement

Quality after school programming creates a safe environment where young people find their potential and thrive. ECS programming engages at risk youth in intentional and constructive ways of learning that lead to better health, social, and educational outcomes.
